UK produced groceries online

After looking at the post about chicken from Thailand, I did email 3 online supermarkets to ask why they did not have a section for UK produced goods so that those of us who wish to buy British can do so easily and speedily.

To my amazement I received an almost instant call back from Tesco to say that they are in the process of doing just that and hope to have it up and running within 6 months.

Can I suggest that we all email these chaps and try and ginger them up!

Thank you for starting this Mishap

It should apply to all shopping, not just online - I like to know where all my food comes from.

I do most grocery shopping online but even when in the supermarket it's hard to scrutinize the labels to see what you are buying.

The labelling should be quite clear and state on the front of the packaging where the meat originates.

Sainsburys have come back and said that it is not possible - I mailed them back and said that one of their major competitors is planning to do it soon, so they'd better have a rethink!!
