We had a "lazy" tea. Dine in for a tenner from Tesco. Delicious chicken with lemon and parsley butter. roast potatoes, profiteroles and a nice bottle of Montepulciano. It is good to have a night off cooking every so often!

Chicken curry with spiced potatoes last night and made enough for 3 more in the freezer.

Steak (marinaded after cooking!), Raymond Blanc's Maman's Potatoes and salad tonight.

Chicken chasseur, roast potatoes (compulsory for DD2) and tenderstem tomorrow.

j08 Sat 23-Mar-13 18:12:35

Usual Saturday fry up here. (not as greasy as it sounds)

Galen Sat 23-Mar-13 18:11:50

Too much cheese in the fridge, might as well use it and the bread is a walnut and raisin bread from a specialist baker out of the freezer!

j08 Sat 23-Mar-13 18:11:14

Galen There is an 'r' in it. Arsed. smile

I mean the bread and cheese and onion chutney no-cook supper.

Grannyknot Sat 23-Mar-13 18:05:51

Aberdeen Angus beef in the slow cooker braised with a splash of wine, just added aubergine, tomato etc. Instant fresh mash from Waitrose (which is just across the road) also broccoli, and settle down in front of the telly and plough through everything we have taped during the week. Oh yes and not forgetting the 'marked down' chocolate fudge pudding (it pays to pop over just before closing time smile).

Butty Sat 23-Mar-13 18:05:28

Galen Yummy.

Galen Sat 23-Mar-13 18:04:40

ninathenana Sat 23-Mar-13 17:58:37

Jacket spuds and beef n ale casserole. Bung it in the oven and relax for a couple of hours.
My kind of meal for a Saturday smile

Clocks are changed on next (Easter) weekend in the UK, Nonu!

I am not eating much as it is a fast day - sliced lamb, 2 small new potatoes and loads of veg. I made some lovely thick scotch broth for my lunch which kept me going untill now.

Anne58 Sat 23-Mar-13 17:55:51

Oooh, you got me all worried on the clocks then!

Oddly enough (bloody hell, that's a Frankism) we had curry last night, and jolly good it was too!

Steak, salad & jp's tonight, then a venison casserole with roast potatoes and that lovely tenderstem broccoli tomorrow!

Galen Sat 23-Mar-13 17:55:49

What? Clocks, the wrong way.
Never! Don't agree with folk pinching my hour in bed!

Ana Sat 23-Mar-13 17:52:57

No, Nonu - that's next week! grin

Nonu Sat 23-Mar-13 17:51:33

What are you having this evening ? I am in the process of making a lovely vegetable curry . We are going to enjoy it sooo much , just the ticket for a cold snowy evening. Bang up the heating and we are in the £ seats , so if the gas runs out as they are saying we will have to go on to electricity.!!

Don"t forget your clocks !!
