I1, 5 kilo cuttlefish
1 cup oil
1 bunch of parsley
Juice and lemon slices
1 orange peel
Salt and pepper

Peel, wash and cut the cuttlefish in pieces. Place in an open pot oil, cuttlefish, parsley, lemon, the orange peel and a little water. Allow the food to boil. If you need to pixoume sauce, dissolve 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a little water and add to the food then stirring to avoid lumps.

Hi Rockgranny

I have been away for a while so not been in a position to read or post much.

Thanks for the link but what i really would like to know is, and this may sound really simple to you, but how to make 'mediterrranean' roast potatoes blush.
I know it sounds simple but i just can't seem to get it right. I use onions, tomoatoes, garlic, rosemary, basil (both fresh and dried) and olive oil but i can't replicate either the look, taste or the texture. I console myself by telling myself either my UK purchased supermarket ingredients are not as fresh and wholesome or i'm missing some secret village ingriendent wink.

What am i doing wrong? I have a nice leg of lamb for dinner tomorrow and would dearly love some correctly made rosties to accompany it.

Thanks

Hello i'm new here...

I think it has more to do with better quality and fresher ingredients (only in my opinion however) so as a consequence it's hard to replicate outside of Greece NfkDumpling. I'm with you though i love traditional greek food.
I haven't found the recipe section yet so i will now take a look. I'm hoping there's a section for food for one as being recently on my own now it's difficult to adjust the proportions so i don't end up having a freezer full of meals. smile

Yummy, yummy. Love Greek food especially the giant white beans. And little fishies fried. And baby octopuses. And lamb kleftiko (baby lamb, baby goat, same thing). But it never tastes the same in England. I think it's something to do with the weather.
