Offal, belly of pork/pork chops, anything with fat or gristle in it, mango, papaya, oysters (allergic to), hot chilli peppers, cherries unless they are straight off the tree, piccalilli and marzipan; so I am not a fussy eater really grin

BAnanas we once in our ignorance ordered 'cervelle' in a small French restaurant far from the beaten track, which did not translate its menu.
Thought the texture was 'interesting, got back to the pension, (not that kind Frank grin), got out our trusty Collins school French dictionary and discovered we'd had brains for tea!
[Double yuk emoticon]!!

The worst meal in my life, many years ago in France when I mistakenly ordered something called Andouilette thinking it was fish and it turned out to be innards, intestines and a lot worse in the guise of a sausage, so awful it still haunts me!

Kohlrabi – it has all the worst characteristics of turnip and cabbage and none of the good ones.

Grannyeggs I have a cousin who considers beetroot obscene. I once wrote him a poem (piece of doggrel really) about vegetables, ending with a verse about the obscenity of beetroot.

Agree with BAnanas, I enjoy anything except offal, and also now dislike the very sweet things like rum babas that I used to love!
Also don't eat shop-bought pies, with the exception of genuine Cornish pasties made by Warren's bakery in Penzance!

Kidneys and beet root. DH loves beet root so I am trying, but no success so far.

How strange shysal me and you must be polar opposites as I love spicy food and adore anything with a cherry flavour too. smile

We often have threads about our favourite foods, so what are your dislikes?
Mine include very hot spicy food, sourdough bread, and peppers. Slightly different is the cherry flavouring in some foods and drinks which reminds me of the penicillin emulsion I used to take when I had pneumonia/measles as a child.
