Food Mixer

I love my kitchen aid, it seems much more robust than the modern kenwood. I fully expect it to last long enough for my children to squabble over who inherits it!

I recently bought a Kenwood kMix mixer and would definitely recommend it. It's very similar to the Kitchenaid, but not quite so expensive. It mixes cakes beAutifully and can easily knead 1kg of flour when making bread. It comes with the usual mixing attachments, but you can also buy a grater/slicer attachment and a mincer/sausage maker attachment.

I cannot live without my Kenwoods ( one in home/ older one in holiday home) There is a fantastic on line refurbishment company. When they begin to give up I'll have them refurbished.Older one 1974 - still going strong!! Xx

suzz I bought myself a Kenwood Patissier earlier this year and I love it. I still use my hand held Kenwood for icing and small things but I wish I had bought my big Kenwood years ago.

Bought my Kenwood Chef in 1973 and it is still in use several times a week, although I have had to replace the blender base a couple of times.

Have found a good source of spares online and hope it will go on as long as I do. Why change a good thing.

I have the Kenwood and its great for every job. I also used a hand held blender when needed.

My Kenwood is the best! I've only had it for 2 years and I use it all the time,it never let's me down.

I love my big Kenwood too but for small jobs I have a handheld Lakeland and a stck blender!

I've had a Brevel food mixer for more than 30 years and its never let me down. I've had hand mixers that haven't lasted very long and I now have a seriously big Kenwood that is brilliant but I still love the Brevel ...

Both my DSs have Kenwood Chefs and I had one for many years. When it died, my (then) OH bought a Magimix and last year I bought a new one. It's like another pair of hands.

I've got a big Kenwood Chef complete with bowl etc but to be honest it just sits under its dustcover. I used to have a little handheld cake mixer for everyday use but it died six months ago and having trawled through internet and seen nothing but less than glowing reviews I have not bothered to replace it. What I have been converted to is using the old 'All in one' method with soft Stork and just beating it for a few minutes with a small spatula. Remarkably my sponges have become for more reliable and of a better consistency ....I really think I'd been over beating them!

Kitchen aids are big and powerful. I still have a little Kenwood my inlaws bought me one xmas, back in the late 70s. It works a treat for what I need but if you are making lots of big cakes etc you need one with a much more powerful motor and bigger bowls etc.

Just Google it suzz. It's a popular make, sold all over the country. DD's MIL is a celebration cake maker and she swears by her Kenwood.

Kitchenaid! I use mine most days. It's sturdy and powerful, looks great, and I keep it on the work top, so in the three years I've had it, it's more than earned its money. There's lots of attachments you can get, too.
