No it wasn"t horseradish like you get in jars --slightly hot , it was sweet and sickly , any way it will not be on my menu any more .

I do like horseradish on Smoked mackeral however .

nonu did you put too much on you should just use it sparingly not "dollop" it on grin lots of cold water me thinks.

Use horseradish sauce in my mackerel pate. Forged my own recipe for mackerel pate in pre-internet days when I couldn't find a recipe and horseradish seemed the perfect fit. When I did find a recipe it included horse radish sauce. Salmon, though, not sure, au natural is my preference.

No, no, Nonu - I love smoked salmon and creamed horseradish!

Also horseradish is great with smoked mackeral/pan-fried mackeral.

Honest, it is grin

One of my total favourites , anyway when Mr N, was getting my bargain £3.99 hanging baskets , he picked up a couple of packs for me .

I have just opened one and in it is a sachet of horse radish sauce, SO i thought I would give it a whirl , trust me , it just does NOT go.

Nothing in my book , is better than lemon juice and black pepper . Enhances the flavour .
