Tonight we had Chicken Kiev with Lyonnaise potatoes. I have to admit the CK was not made by me but a local butcher whose ready meals are really, really good but I did make the Lyonnaise potatoes myself and I know I shouldn`t blow my own trumpet but it was a good meal

Flipping heck, I hope you enjoy it!!

NanKate Fri 19-Sept-14 11:11:44

Hi Kitty just bought the Tailor made kit you suggested. Couldn't get the Korma but got the mild Coconut one instead. We are really looking forward to our supper tonight.

Greenfinch Fri 19-Sept-14 08:42:32

Thanks whitewave. Sounds delicious. I can't wait to try it but will have to buy some turkey first and some apricots.

kittylester Fri 19-Sept-14 07:57:50

We had Nigella's lamb steaks with thyme, anchovies and pink Martini. Sounds odd but it's delicious!

rosequartz Thu 18-Sept-14 22:49:21

Have we all been on a diet ?
Sadly yes, NanKate, which has resulted in me losing half a pound over the past week and DH (despite drinking some beer) losing four pounds. sad
Salmon, small jacket potato, grilled tomatoes (from the greenhouse) and green beans (from the garden) this evening, followed by baked apple (from the tree) stuffed with raisins and some custard.
And a small glass of white wine which is probably why I will only lose another half a pound by next week.

300g of this, 14oz of that... a complicated life you lead!

NfkDumpling Sat 30-Aug-14 18:21:38

Love having a man wot cooks!

NfkDumpling Sat 30-Aug-14 18:21:20

He's unearthed a joint of lamb which has been lurking in the freezer since the kids came over and we ate out instead of in. He's also been pouring over his favourite Mary Berry book so I can't wait to see what appears!

kittylester Sat 30-Aug-14 18:15:24

Take away pizza, as the pizza take away in the village has just changed hands and the new owners do gf bases. sunshine After the week we've had. one way and another, I don't care if it costs enough to feed us for most of the rest of the week so long as I'm not cooking it and, most importantly, DH will go and collect it!!!

sparkygran Sat 30-Aug-14 18:00:27

Made my world famous (well it has gone across the pond) pork and rice dish - we have just finished and it was as good as we remembered

Nonu Sat 30-Aug-14 17:29:43

Tonight we are for a change , not having curry.
I am grilling some nice pork chops, accompanied by turnips, carrot, runner beans and new potatoes. It will be scrumptious, and Mr N will enjoy it very much as N.C have drawn

So he and Delia will be happy bunnies tonight !!

smile

Barbecued spare ribs (lovely warm and sunny day here), with a salad of green beans, fresh figs (our fig tree has finally given us enough ripe ones at once), and toasted almonds in a dressing with pomegranate molasses.
