Tonight we had Chicken Kiev with Lyonnaise potatoes. I have to admit the CK was not made by me but a local butcher whose ready meals are really, really good but I did make the Lyonnaise potatoes myself and I know I shouldn`t blow my own trumpet but it was a good meal

I love seeing what everyone else is having for supper, far more interesting that my cold chicken leg, jacket spud, mixed hot veg.

AND ........ wait for it......

One and a half mini mince pies grin left over from Christmas with brandy dribbled in them and hot custard. DH pointed out it is only 6 months exactly until mince pies will abound again !!

Today it was gammom, pineapple, fried mushrooms and tomatoes(shop bought, none ready in the greenhouse yet), and chips. We then followed this with salted caramel and peanut ice cream, rather unusual but quite moreish.hmm

Ana Tue 24-Jun-14 19:51:00

Oh, well, if it's Waitrose corned beef that's OK...grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 24-Jun-14 19:49:43

And it was followed by raspberries and no-fat greek plain yogurt. [halo]

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 24-Jun-14 19:48:50

...and 28 grams of protein each.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 24-Jun-14 19:47:31

Err! 'scuse me Madam! We are talking Waitrose corned beef hear you know. [stuck-up sniff]

18 grams of fat, and it's the only fat we've had all day. (you need some)

Ana Tue 24-Jun-14 19:45:23

(Too fatty for me...)

Ana Tue 24-Jun-14 19:45:03

You each have four slices of corned beef? shock

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 24-Jun-14 19:43:05

Corned beef (a pack of 4 slices each) (We know how to live) microwave jacket potatos (only half a small one for me, and frozzed peas. With homemade damson chutney. Delicious. And nutritious. smile

I have my main meal at lunch time as DH works in the Co-op during the evening. Today I had easy lunch, fish and chips from the chippy with Dad and sister after his eye appt. (all well). Tonight it's a chicken and stuffing sandwich with a glass of red wine left over from yesterday's beef bourguingon.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 24-Jun-14 18:50:07

Oven baked chicken fillet with crumby coating (not my choice but still...) with stir fried courgettes, onions and mushrooms (yum) Followed by strawberries. And possibly a square or two of chocolate

Anne58 Tue 24-Jun-14 17:56:53

Bacon and fried egg sandwich. Should also have Branston pickle in it, but I've run out. Currently really can't be bothered to cook for just me, even though I have the time.

However will be doing salad Nicoise on Friday when Mr P comes home. He had never had it until last summer when I first made it for him. It's sometimes one of those forgotten salads, but is actually full of flavour and quite substantial.

kittylester Tue 24-Jun-14 17:44:51

Roast chicken, stuffed baked potatoes and salad!

sparkygran Tue 24-Jun-14 17:15:29

I`m whispering - tonight is another salad (Wimbledon`s on) but with lovely local new potatoes - said loudly

Galen Tue 24-Jun-14 17:06:03

Prawn curry.

Mamie Tue 24-Jun-14 17:03:17

Minestrone, mostly, but not entirely from the garden. We love it, but it is time-consuming; OH has been peeling and chopping most of the afternoon. Should be plenty for the freezer though.

Today we had beef bourguignon with creamy mash and mixed veg, all homemade except the veg. it was frozen. DS came for lunch. Tonight DH had a can of soup and a sandwich, I just had a sandwich (tongue and tomato ketchup). We rounded it all off with a slice or two of lemon meringue pie. Bad for waistline but very yummy.

Gagagran Mon 23-Jun-14 20:45:27

We had a large field mushroom each stuffed with cream cheese, garlic, herbs and bread crumbs served with crispy grilled smoked bacon and griddled asparagus followed by local grown strawberries and clotted cream. Sinful I know but delicious. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 23-Jun-14 19:41:37

Waitrose Rich and Succulent Braised Beef and Mash. With extra potato for DH, and mange tout. Delicious!

NanKate Mon 23-Jun-14 19:38:21

Went out for a WI lunch where we all provided the food. It was mega.

Came home stuffed DH cooked his own supper and also a lovely boiled egg and soldiers for me. To be honest I didn't need anything but felt it would be rude to refuse.

Roast veg pasta with BBQ chicken. Trying to get over too much Italian food last week! X

kittylester Mon 23-Jun-14 17:37:39

Sainsbury's 'Just Cook' smoked haddock with cheddar cheese melt, Jersey Royals and peas. Well it is Wimbledon and I don't buy convenience food often. grin
