I'm referring to the crockpot, not me!
Does anyone know if you can put another container in the crockpot?
Eg a small casserole containing an assembled but raw shepherds pie put into the crock of the aforementioned crockpot!

I'd be a bit wary Galen, I think if you poured a small amount of water in the crock like a bain-marie, then it might be ok.

I think it would work with water. I don't think I would put it in dry.

You could always give it a go but stand well clear.

You can use your slow cooker as a bain-marie. It is very successful, and sets salmon mousse nicely. Try the Shepherds pie and see.

Perhaps you could stand it on a trivet then you could use more water.

I will be interested to know the outcome!
