Has anyone ever tried to make an ice cream with a saison or maybe a wit/hefe?

I have a few bottles of a really nice saison left and would love to give this a try, but no idea how to work it in.

I think alcohol in ice cream would prevent it from freezing. Good luck if you try. smile

Please can someone tell me what is a saison or wit/hefe?

I googled it and saison is Belgian ale. In ice-cream ? No thank you.shock

Too much effort, too little gain! grin

Although, I am led to believe that limoncello over ice cream is morish! blush

Confused, in French 'saison' means 'season'- so what is it. Hefe in German is yeast.

They're all types of ale.

There are several recipes on the internet for beer/ale ice cream, but I must admit I wouldn't fancy it myself!

Nope, me neither. Stick it in the carbonnade (beef stew).
