I have made myself a curried veggie soup for lunch and I am making cashew nut burger for tonight, which I will have with stir fry veg. Hub will have gammon, egg ... and chips! I am not a vegetarian, but do enjoy veggie food.

We are both adventurous eaters (and cooks!) and always on the lookout for new things to try.

So please do share your menus and let's see what we all enjoy.

I feel dreadful at the moment, I have a bit of a gluten intolerance and have overdone the toasted teacakes, compounded by finding an uneaten xmas pud in the cupboard. So my diet was chosen for me really. I don't long for sugar, or chocolate, I long for a cheese and pickle roll. And a teacake afterwards.

I have gluten intolerance too Jr and try to avoid it as much as possible - my downfall is when someone buys tiger bread!!

One Cadbury's Flake, cod with pesto, new potatoes and mange tout peas.
Would cheerfully take a pill instead of cooking/eating....
Sorted out food to take when working on the ward, hospital food not appetising- ham roll & salad, tomatoes and yogurt waiting in fridge for me to first gem when I leave at 6.30 in the morning smile!

janerowena Wed 04-Feb-15 17:47:38

Ooh, tiger bread...

On impulse I buried a cube of Hazelnut chocolate in my porridge this morning - yummy! Does anyone else get tempted by the shelves of chocolate when they enter Lidl?
Tonight I am having a 'pie' made from things left in the fridge - cooked chicken, bacon, and leeks, in a cheese sauce, topped with mash and a sprinkling of cheese. I use Weight Watchers cheese, which is surprisingly tasty!

annodomini Thu 05-Feb-15 09:54:39

I managed to drive past Lidl yesterday, shysal, otherwise I'd probably have been tempted by the shelves of delicious chocolate. This morning I've had muesli with a banana and natural yoghurt. I plan to make myself a bruschetta for lunch.

I made a green smoothie for breakfast, with lots of spinach, half a small apple, little banana, couple of melon balls, chia seeds and linseed. This time I added a bit of milk with the water and it was much creamer and delicious.

For lunch I'm making leek and potatoe soup.

janerowena Thu 05-Feb-15 14:31:21
