I have made myself a curried veggie soup for lunch and I am making cashew nut burger for tonight, which I will have with stir fry veg. Hub will have gammon, egg ... and chips! I am not a vegetarian, but do enjoy veggie food.

We are both adventurous eaters (and cooks!) and always on the lookout for new things to try.

So please do share your menus and let's see what we all enjoy.

I've had a VERY bad eating day. I am annoyed with myself. Cereal, fruit, coffee and smoothie for breakfast. So far so good. Lunch with friends. A ham salad sandwich with chips and 2 small glasses of wine. DH announced that for tea he was going to treat himself to fish and chips and brought home a huge portion of fish and chips so I had to help him out blush Must do better tomorrow.

Liver and onions and cauliflower cheese for tea.... yum yum!

Tonight, fish pie (3 x Sainsbury's packs of off cuts, sour cream, nutmeg, grated lemon rind, parsley and dill) topped with mashed potatoes (also Sainsbury's) and grated red Leicester cheese served with lots of peas. Made into 1 pie for DH and I tonight and variations of double and single portions for freezing. [haloemoticon]

Fresh Chicken thighs, shallots in wine sauce - bargain in Waitrose! They have a third off, cheaper than buying ingredients separately!

I made a green smoothie for breakfast, with lots of spinach, half a small apple, little banana, couple of melon balls, chia seeds and linseed. This time I added a bit of milk with the water and it was much creamer and delicious.

For lunch I'm making leek and potatoe soup.

I managed to drive past Lidl yesterday, shysal, otherwise I'd probably have been tempted by the shelves of delicious chocolate. This morning I've had muesli with a banana and natural yoghurt. I plan to make myself a bruschetta for lunch.

shysal Thu 05-Feb-15 08:42:55

On impulse I buried a cube of Hazelnut chocolate in my porridge this morning - yummy! Does anyone else get tempted by the shelves of chocolate when they enter Lidl?
Tonight I am having a 'pie' made from things left in the fridge - cooked chicken, bacon, and leeks, in a cheese sauce, topped with mash and a sprinkling of cheese. I use Weight Watchers cheese, which is surprisingly tasty!

Elizabeth1 Thu 05-Feb-15 08:33:54

Toast with Lurpack and a boiled egg.

Home made lentil soup. DH made it yesterday and it's delicious, says he made it with love and that's why it tastes better than mine wink

Baked salmon, mashed potatoes, peas, chocolate pud and ice cream.
I'll try and succumb from any grazing today sad

One Cadbury's Flake, cod with pesto, new potatoes and mange tout peas.
