Haslet(t) - very tasty! Occasionally available here from a Farm Butcher.
I used to make stuffed heart, also a ragout of heart - it was a wonderful dense meat with great flavour.
@whitewave - another name for brawn was 'head cheese'. When I lived in Cornwall we could get half a roasted pig's head from a nearby café - is there anything tastier then a pig's cheek?

You can get rollmops just about everywhere. I can't say that I miss any of the things listed. I have never had junket. You don't seem to get tapioca ( and a good thing too!)

Our butcher sells potted meat and haslet (or haselet if you are from round here!) I made stuffed heart once!!

I love rollmops - Ikea do some nice ones!!

One of my favorite meals includes Baked herring, I still do them the way my Nana did when i was a child in the North East, the skin has to be really crispy with a squeeze of lemon juice, delicious.

Oh yes hearts and also kidneys. I think we used to eat offal because it was generally cheaper than other cuts of meat. Never had brains though.

I can still get great jellied veal from a local butcher it's one of my favourite sandwiches. I always made milk jelly for my DD when she was a child we still both like it so I make it when she comes to visit. My auntie made home made brawn she was a fabulous cook and never bought what she could make herself. I made stuffed hearts as a meal often years ago you don't see that much anymore.

I can remember making brawn once from half a pigs head - there wasn't much flavour as far as I can remember - probably not enough seasoning or spicec etc

Haslet, and potted meat.

Jellied veal was a family favorite with salad, Brawn and breakfast sausage are two others that you don't see now.

Oh I know another - bread, butter hot milk and sugar for breakfast - delicious!

I think you probably can still get them, but I haven't had rollmops, salad and home made salad dressing since I was a child. It was one of my favourite summer lunches. Why haven't I ever made them?

Mum is coming to lunch (age97) and has chosen Ham salad and junket and clotted cream. Junket is something you never hear of now.
What other foods can the grans think of that have gone out of fashion?
