I have a load of green tomatoes in a box in my kitchen. At the weekend I an going to make chutney. I need some cooking apples for the recipe, so must go to Tesco after work on Friday.

For me this has always been the preserving month. My most favourite chutney is Delia's Christmas Chutney, I have tried lots of others but we always go back to that.
Thought I'd give quince jelly a go this year, saw some for sale yesterday. Bit of a faff though.
