A giant asteroid will hit Earth tomorrow, it's your last ever meal, what will you have?
A mild chicken Korma, with peas and fresh sliced tomatoes with a sprinkling of rick salt.
For pud, apple crumble and creamy hot custard.

Think the knowledge of the end
might put me off my food!

Maggiemaybe Mon 26-Oct-15 17:35:42

A chilled bloody Mary, smoked salmon and seafood with prosecco, citrus sorbet, saag paneer with Peshwari naan and Cobra beer, a cheeseboard, marzipan chocs with Amaretto (just leave the bottle please).

At least I won't have to worry about the indigestion, or mixing the drinks. grin

DH Said he would just have a martini....hmm

rosesarered Mon 26-Oct-15 17:36:41

If we have to go, we may as well have a full stomach!

rosesarered Mon 26-Oct-15 17:38:13

eccentric are you married to James Bond?

chrissyh Mon 26-Oct-15 19:31:22

Anything that I love but don't eat because it's bad for me or makes me put on weight.

Greyduster Mon 26-Oct-15 21:04:35

Chicken casserole with buttered new potatoes, followed by a rare fillet steak with a watercress salad (for pudding!) and a bottle of Oban malt whiskey to me into a pre-apocalypse stupor!

etheltbags1 Mon 26-Oct-15 21:34:13

just fish and chips followed by a huge bar of chocolate for me, with maybe a nice cup of coffee then maybe more chocolates of any sort.

hicaz46 Mon 26-Oct-15 21:34:30

seafood starter, followed by Lobster and fries, followed by raspberries meringue and ice cream

stillhere Mon 26-Oct-15 21:40:09

A whole lobster all to myself, quite a big one, with a salad, lemon , and garlic mayonnaise. With that I would love a large hunk of fresh crusty loaf, normal bread, as it's my last day I shan't have to have the awful GF stuff that passes for bread.

Sticky toffee pudding, with a big dollop of Cornish cream AND one of Cornish icecream.

Oh no - how will I ever fit the scones and cream and jam in? -Breakfast! grin

All washed down with a bottle of champagne followed by a glass of port.

I wonder if I could fit in a weeny piece of cambozola...

rosesarered Mon 26-Oct-15 21:43:40

stillhere it may well be your last day, but do you have to make a pig of yourself? grin

stillhere Mon 26-Oct-15 21:49:14

If the earth is going to explode, I may as well go out with a bang, too! grin

I forgot to add the starter - just a few nibbles, olives, stuffed baby pimentos, a few roasted baby artichokes... grin

Galen Mon 26-Oct-15 22:50:26

Oysters, caviar, smoked salmon and langoustines

stillhere Mon 26-Oct-15 22:59:02

I knew you wouldn't fail me, galen. I bet all your oysters have pearls in them, too.

Balini Mon 26-Oct-15 23:17:04

Scotch salmon, crayfish, boiled potatoes and veg. Washed down with a nice glass of Glenlivet single malt. Lovely.

Balini Mon 26-Oct-15 23:18:03

Should be glass or two

Mamie Tue 27-Oct-15 07:03:27

Foie gras, lobster chips and mayonnaise and something exquisite in dark chocolate. Champagne, a fine red and a priceless brandy.

starbird Tue 27-Oct-15 09:50:05

While I'm waiting for the meal, crusty bread hot from the oven, dripping with butter. Then, roast turkey and chestnut stuffing, and roast pork with lots of apple sauce, roast parsnips, organic baby sprouts (more tasty), baby carrots and two small roast potatoes to leave room for summer pudding and cream. Finished with filter coffee and a luxury chocolates.

I'd ring our sons first.

Then we'd have a Christmassy meal = turkey or roast pork with lots of crackling etc., (no sprouts)and finishing with a well-soaked Christmas pudding, brandy cream and a liquor.

Then we'd go upstairs with our chosen liquor, plus cheeses, grapes, and savoury biscuits.

*OK, I've just realised we'd have to imbibe fruit juice first. Wouldn't want alcohol to spoil anything.

stillhere Tue 27-Oct-15 11:43:40

I was really surprised by the number of xmas-style roasts, but then I realised that people are assuming that family will be with them to share that last day.

Summer pudding is apparently a firm favourite for many - mine, too.

Marmight Tue 27-Oct-15 12:47:26

A plate of seafood minus the oysters and a magnum of Moët to dull the pain. If the asteroid has not struck and there is time, a slice of lemon tart with raspberries washed down with the rest of the Moët. I don't ask for much wink

Marmight Tue 27-Oct-15 12:52:58

On 2nd thoughts, I will have the oysters as by the time the allergy effects set in, I will be dead grin

thlsad (cut and paste - is easier!)

rosesarered Tue 27-Oct-15 16:31:35

A lot of roasts and also fishy things.A fair amount of fine wines as well. There will be no pain ( asteroid will hit and poufff! we are toast.)No worries about allergies or indigestion either, have whatever you want.If all you want are a few Ritz crackers, that's fine as well.
