I am with my Uncle, particularly if it was made especially for me, and would say whatever pudding is in front of me, "That's my favourite!" It works and ensures you get it again.
Nah - not sophisticated ... leastways, easy to make, if not easy to spell . I only discovered pithiviers recently - use shop bought pastry and the apple butter is a doddle to make - looks so nice, but it's a fancy apple pie really. I do love syrup sponge ... and rice pudding ... oh dear ...
I'd like a charlotte russe decorated with fresh raspberries
A real Sacher Torte with a small scoop of proper vanilla ice cream
And I am a true connoisseur of creme brulee - so any type you like !! My favourite is served by The Bear at Rodborough and is cappuccino served with handmade mint choc ice cream !!
Yup, a real pudding person , me. Apple pie and cream, Syrup sponge and home made custard, Home made creamy rice pud. ( not as sophisticated as your choice Imp)
Looking forward to a meal out tonight with in laws. We are being taken to an Italian restaurant and as /i am a 'pudding person' I am very much looking forward to coffee gelato for dessert. Tomorrow we have family over and I will make a salted caramel sauce to drizzle over stewed apple and vanilla ice cream.
All this excess got me thinking about my favourite puddings ... could I even begin to choose a top three ? Well rather like choosing fav films - these would have to be the three in the frame just for now ... and in no particular order ...
white chocolate cheesecake with a berry coulis
apple pithivier with salted caramel sauce and cream
the aforementioned coffee gelato.
Are you a pudding person and if so what would you like to see on a menu?
