I'll go with the wine bit Teetime, but alongside the food...grin

My favourites are:

pasta in all its forms - with a sauce / in a lasagne / ravioli ....

a restaurant chicken korma

stuffed chicken breast / chicken breast wrapped in pancetta

And if there happens to be a good rioja, merlot or prosecco to wash it down, so much the better!

I LOVE dinner here's mine

Lamb Shanks in red wine

Chicken In red wine

Beef in red wine all with lots of fresh green veg

looks like a theme developing but they are my favourites!

I like pps top three meals, but no kidney thanks. I hate offal.

Pollyparrot. An involuntary LOL!
Tegan - I've only recently discovered that mushy peas are ok with a heavy sprinkling of black pepper. I'd bought a couple of cans for GD who never seemed to actually want to eat them.

Three favourite meals? I'll ignore my weight and my gradual reduction of meat in the last few years.
Roast chicken and roast potatoes plus plenty of vegetables, stuffing essential, thick gravy of course,
Fish pie which must include prawns,
Steak and kidney pudding with an unhealthy suet crust.

One of my best ever meals was a huge fruits de mer platter in Jersey

I agree with Polyparrot - no need to comment if you are not interested.what is the point of pouring scorn on someone's new thread??

Tegan Mon 14-Mar-16 23:03:03

When we're oop north we always have fish and chips from our favourite chippy in Belford, but we've only just discovered the delights of mushy peas.

pollyparrot Mon 14-Mar-16 22:36:58

Feel free to start your own riveting thread. Jeez what a load of miserable fuckers you are.

merlotgran Mon 14-Mar-16 22:31:55

You have to admit it's not exactly riveting stuff though.

pollyparrot Mon 14-Mar-16 22:20:53

Why comment if you're not interested? You might have done it to death before but we haven't all been here since the ice age.

Ana Mon 14-Mar-16 20:45:17

Especially as it's all been done to death before...

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 14-Mar-16 20:43:31

Why has Gransnet become obsessed with food?

cornergran Mon 14-Mar-16 20:43:27

Exactly jings. I'm with you. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 14-Mar-16 20:41:52

Anything someone else cooks for me.

pollyparrot Mon 14-Mar-16 19:53:18

I'm not such a pudding person, I prefer my dinner. These are my top three.

Roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, peas, sprouts, gravy.

Steak and kidney pie, with mash and peas.

Fish, chips and mushy peas.

Which dinners do you like best?
