Just had this in USA and really liked it, anyone bought it in the UK? I have found recipes to make it but would like to find a shop that sells it first. Tried wait rose and telco websites to no avail.
Thanks

You can buy potato flour, so I suppose you can make it into bread, like any other flour. I'll try it next week, when I have time .
I think the Irish farles are made with simple mashed potato.

Tanith, that's not what I meant. It was a normal sized loaf of bread with slices. Very yummy, enriched I think with egg maybe. The falls aren't going to cut it I'm afraid!
Will try the M and S site. Thanks

Storynanny,

I remember that the Hairy Bikers made a German Kartoffelbrot some years ago. I also remember that I made it - but sadly I can't remember what it was like! The recipe is still available online, so you could try your hand at it in the absence of some enterprising baker making some for you to buy!

Well, storynanny did say in her OP that she'd found recipes and intended making some, but wanted to see whether they sold sliced potato bread in the UK.

As far as I can see, the Irish fals are all you can get(apart from in specialist bakeries, I suppose).

Yes, I've googled and the images are all loaves available in the USS so will have to get baking!

Does anyone have an actual recipe?

Our local Greggs is going to stop selling bread shock !!

We had a bakery in town for a sgort while but it has shut down, Greggs sells reasonably good bread but will stop selling loaves, scones, pies, sausage rolls etc next month.
The only alternative locally is Tesco and their bread is underbaked and stodgy.

Here's a recipe on youtube:

I found a few recipes and they all seem to have flour as well as mashed potatoes.
One link said you can use potato flour, but I couldn't see a recipe.
