Any regular prosecco/cava drinkers out there who can recommend a good make or any particularly good offers on at the moment? I am hosting "that day in December that some people don't want to acknowledge just yet" and thought I'd get a head start on stocking up on things.

Apparently Asda have Prosecco on offer at £4 a bottle. I'd definitely have a look at Aldi and Lidl too, I've never been disappointed with their drink.

We like one, which I buy at Sainsbury's, called Canti. It's a prosecco and costs £9 but it is occasionally reduced or I buy it when they have their 25% off 6 bottles deal. One memorable year it was down to £6.75 and then 25% off!

I might have to go and do some serious research.
Let you know when I've deshided ??????grin

The Co op have a lovely prosecco for about £6. I can't remember the name though and the glass recycling has gone, so I am not much help really.

Lido have some great ones and they are available online with free delivery

Needless to say my spellcheck is in meltdown again. You may prefer Aldi to fishing a bottle out of the pool.

Lidl have an offer on , less than a fiver. It's very quaffable.

Sorry, to much of a snob to go any where but Sainsbury and M&S, usually get Prosecco for £6.75 a bottle, quite happy with that.
Have you tried a half glass of whisky (any one) add a tea spoon of sugar, takes the edge of it.

M&S are doing a deal on their £9 per bottle Prosecco - you get the third bottle for about £3.

Here's a question for you. What is the attraction of prosecco? Everyone seems to be drinking it, and I must be the only person in the world who hasn't tried it. How does it differ from other sparkling wines? iam68now if you were so much of a snob, you wouldn't put sugar in whisky shock!!!

I put diet coke in my whisky - and I LOVE it!! grin

I know you specify Prosecco but I find the Vintage Cava from M & S to be very nice and not so fizzy if you know what I mean. I pass it off as champagne by saying 'Bubbles anyone' as I pass it round.
