Supercook Christmas Cake

Contact * Absent* I believe she wrote many of the Supercook recipes!

I am looking for recipes for a Christmas pudding and a light Christmas cake which were in the Supercook books. I have used these recipes every year but I have been decluttering so I got rid of the books taking note of these recipes which I have now lost.
Hope someone can help me.

If you Google “supercook Christmas cake”, various recipes come up - perhaps one of those is the one you’re looking for? I hope you find it.

Has anyone got the recipe for the supercook Christmas cake pale lighter bake one? It was in a magazine many years ago

Stansgran and all the rest of you mockers, the cake does need to mature for 2–months and then it has to be coated with marzipan and iced, so it does need to be made in the autumn; therefore more like 190 days.

There are only 295 days to countdown so on your marks....

I bought lots of charity cards last C*** then found boxes that I had bought the year before. So they will do for this year.
We still have a C**** pudding in the cupboard.

who has bought Christmas cards or presents already ? i will admit to buying enough cards for the next decade from WH smith reduced from £8 to 79p-99p. Well you cant not buy them. Can i admit i have bought this years stamps as well

Hi, I used to work on Supercook and have a complete set right beside me in my office at this very moment. There are two Christmas cake recipes: one is a traditional recipe for a dark, rich fruit cake that needs to be baked two to three month before Christmas, the other is a for a paler, lighter fruit cake. I suspect it is the former that you want, but let me know and I'll send you the recipe.

Perhaps Squeak1111 wants it for a birthday cake or wedding cake.

I've got the Supercook part works, I'll have a look and see if I can scan it. Is it just called Christmas Cake or anything fancy?
