I saw this mentioned (by Maw) in the food thread on pulled pork.
I know they're supposed to be healthy and tasty, but I've tried them a few times and found them bitter and gritty.
They do look beautiful, like gems.
Am I using them in the wrong way?

They shouldn't be bitter, they should be sweet and juicy. I've noticed over the past few years that we seem to have been getting a lot of bitter ones. It seems the darker the colour of the seeds the more bitter the taste,
I had some lovely sweet ones from Aldi last week.

Oh I love the little gems and they should be sweet not bitter

Pomegranate seeds are not only tasty but very useful. If you find them bitter, maybe they were unripe? The seeds of red-ripe fruit are mostly sweet or sweet-sour.
