Our own asparagus season has been over for a while.

I only buy asparagus from our local farm shop who grow their own, so only eat it in season and local.

Weird. The season for sparrer's grass (as my father called it) here in the Northern hemisphere is April-June. Which would be October-December in the Southern hemisphere.

Here in Germany they say St John's day is the end of the season.

So by rights, they shouldn't be growing anywhere at the moment, should they?
