Use by dates

I love those peppers roasted with a drizzle of olive oil and wouldn’t take a blind bit of notice of use by dates on veg - if they’re still firm, unwrinkled and smell ok, they’re usually fine when cooked.

Slinging quite good veg is one of the ways of destroying the Planet . I would use them in spaghetti Bol or similar dishes , what about roasting them as a side dish ?

There'll be little or no goodness in them and if that was me, I'd sling them.

I would use them provided they look and smell ok, but I don’t take much notice anyway ,I use my own judgement mostly, plastic and cellophane don’t help.

Have a packet of sweet pointed peppers.they look fine but the use by date is September 9th... would you use them?
When we buy loose veg etc it's not dated ..we go off appearance..use by dates are scary ?
