I was honoured to have been given the Bishop of Bangor’s recipe for Bara Brith by my ex’s grandmother ( she never gave it to anyone else) but I never used it as I preferred my own grandmothers recipe!

I’m happy to share anything with all and sundry!

My MIL wouldn’t share recipes at all. She made a delicious Bakewell tart type pudding that was the best ever but refused to share.

My SM seemed happy to pass on recipes but would say to mix ingredients until they looked right! Not much help! She made a delicious banoffe pie long before it became mainstream.

I've got some secret family recipes, which I've kept onto for ages but as I grow older, I feel like it's time to share them out. What are your secret family recipes and how do you pass them down/share them?

One of them is cinammon & rum infused pears!
