I kept a bottle of sloe gin back from 2018 to enjoy this Christmas past. Unfortunately it didn’t keep at all well and has a really bitter aftertaste. Rather than tip the whole lot down the sink I thought I’d see if any of you clever peeps have some ideas for using it in a foodie or other way. Thanks!

I have never had this problem with sloe gin, my experience is all spiritous drinks keep forever.

Under the circumstances I would just pour it down the sink

I agree with Monica. I thought sloe gin etc kept pretty much indefinitely, so if it tastes odd I'd definitely bin it!

How about adding some blackcurrant syrup (Ribena?) to try to counteract the bitterness?

(Hate waste!)

I hate waste too, but sometimes my OH will take something and chuck it away while I am still "considering alternatives" saying There - now you never have to think about it again. He would defnitely throw the sloe gin away!

Definitely...
