Exactly lol- never been one for fixed times and routines. Grew up in a country where the 12 and 6 exactly was the rule - but due to OH's job, we ate as and when we found a few minutes ...

When kids were at home, we normally at at 7pm or 7.30- but often OH was not home yet. On Sundays we had late breakfast, followed by late lunch - after a full day of activities of one sort or other- around 4 to 5pm.

Nowadays, we try to have our main meal at lunchtime- between 1 and 2pm - and then light supper around 7ish. Followed by a yogurt of fruit a bit later- and always, a couple or squares of dark Swiss of course, chocolate - Lindt with sea salt - yum

Dinner at 12 and tea at 4.30-5. True to my roots

I eat my main meal at 6pm I don’t like to eat a full meal later in the evening, make an exception if dining out.

I've always preferred to have my main meal around 7:30/8pm. I find eating my main meal in the middle of the day really difficult as I'm only fit to sleep in my chair afterwards.

Since I grew up with dinner being at noon, we have tea round about 5 to 5.30. It does sometimes get called other things and, if we eat out, then it's definitely dinner.

I can't eat too late because it makes me feel unwell, so I try to avoid late dinners.

5.45 - 6.00 for our Dinner.

On weekdays, I do dinner for 6.45-ish. At weekends, it's 6 pm, as we go out.

I make our main meal at lunch time. DH works part time and starts his shift at 3pm. We eat at any time between noon and 1:30.
I have my supper between 6 and 7pm., any later and I suffer reflux when I go to bed.

Totally get you on the eating late so as to avoid snacking later!
I eat about 7.30/8. Or a Bit later if I’ve been playing evening tennis

I like a late dinner. 8pm or a little later . ONE of the reasons I like to eat late is that I'm invariably home from work late. But another is that if I don't eat late, I eat dinner then pick at food later. Whereas with a late dinner, I'm not interested in food before bedtime.

BUT where I work now, I'm provided with (very good) lunch and dinner. And both are too early for me. Lunch at 12 and dinner at 6.

What is your preference?
