Enormous onions!

We had some pure white skin onions in our box this week, l had asked for a mild Spanish type onion for DH who loves a Cheese and Onion bap to his supper beer, but these must be just about the most peppery hot onions l have ever tasted!

Witzend I had exactly the same in my veg box the other day - three humungous red onions! I'm thinking of making some caramelised red onion chutney with them.

If they won’t keep, you can chop them then freeze them, ready for use later on.

I love them when I can find them. I scoop out the middles and reserve for other dishes, then stuff the centres, and bake.
