I use a previously bought bread bag to store home made bread in . If any of our sons are home ,storing doesn't come into it!

How do those making bread manage to find any yeast?
I've had to make soda bread when we've run out of bread because there's no yeast at the supermarket.

Sometimes I slice the loaves then freeze them, other times I simply cut the loaves in half, leave one half out for use and freeze the other 3 (I usually make 2 loaves at a time). I no longer have a bread bin, so I just keep the unfrozen bread in a freezer bag with a plastic clip. (the bags are used over and over again, after a quick wash!)

Yes, a clean tea towel to cover it in the bread bin.

I’ve started making bread since lockdown too, Hurdy.
I just cut off what we need for the day it’s made and the following day. I’ve got a stone bread pancheon and it goes in there, unwrapped.
I put the rest of the loaf in the freezer in a polythene bag.

We don't eat a lot of bread but I find the best way to store home made bread is to freeze it. DH slices the loaf and I just take out what I need on a daily basis.

I bought myself a breadmaker as my birthday present to myself, and I've made the first loaf. It smells fab and I can't wait to try it.

But what do you store home-made bread in? I've just wrapped it in a clean tea towel at the moment, but I'm sure there's a better way smile
