We used to have dinner at 7.30 but my stomach was no longer coping with volume in the evening. We now have a cooked lunch at 1pm and the evening meal is soup or a sandwich at 7.30.

GrammaH Thu 04-Mar-21 11:30:05

Dinner at 7.30 is our main meal.of the day as DH is usually either out working or busy at home on the farm during the day so we just have a snack at 1.30 or thereabouts.

Dinner around 7:30 to 8 - the husband would like to eat around 6pm but that’s too early for me - I’d just snack until bed. At the weekends we have tea around 6pm - tends to be a lighter meal, cheese or egg on toast or similar, dinner at weekends is at 1:30 (lunchtime) Once a week we have dinner earlier as that’s games night and we like to be finished and cleared up by 7:30 before signing in.

Husband has lunch about 12ish, this is usually soup or a sandwich. I have lunch about 1, usually crackers andcheese or a toasted sandwich.
Dinner (main cooked meal) is about 5.15 and eaten watching Pointless. My choice would be to eat later but he just moans he's hungry.

Lunch is between 1 and 2 light lunch.
Tea for me is between 3 and 4 but only if I've skipped lunch.
Dinner is between 6 and 7.
Supper very rarely.

AlpineGranny Thu 04-Mar-21 11:16:49

Supper at 7.30ish. I used to like eating much later but no longer!

TrendyNannie6 Thu 04-Mar-21 11:13:20

When ever we want it, no fixed time

jenni123 Thu 04-Mar-21 11:11:00

I eat when i am hungry, sometimes I have had my mail meal at 4.30pm other times it's 6pm, occasionally later than this. I live alone so only have myself to please. I guess it would be different if I had someone else to cater for.

Dinner is anytime between 4pm-5pm.
Lunch is whenever we feel abit peckish.

Riggie Thu 04-Mar-21 10:54:55

Anytime between 6 and maybe 6.30 now dh is working from home. When he was commuting it was probably 7 or a little later.

Eva3 Thu 04-Mar-21 10:54:39

Dear Iam64 - I loved your accidental typo - humours with your meal sounds great. Made me smile!

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 04-Mar-21 10:52:37

5.30pm - DH gets worried if it's late, we refer to it as tea, though it's really dinner!!

GrammarGrandma Thu 04-Mar-21 10:52:03

7pm and we call it dinner. Lunch is at 1pm. They can be moveable feasts but that's the time we aim for most days.

mphammersley Thu 04-Mar-21 10:47:30

Anywhere between 5.30 and 7.30, depends what we have been doing in the day and how hungry we are, suppose 6.30 generally.

Nannina Thu 04-Mar-21 10:43:08

Main meal is tea whenever I’m hungry-usually between 5 &6pm. Exception is Sunday dinner about 2pm which sees us through to Monday morning. Since retiring and especially during pandemic I’ve sometimes cooked main meal mid afternoon so combining dinner and tea which I might make the permanent option

Alioop Thu 04-Mar-21 10:42:39

Lunch 1pm and dinner 5pm

lil57 Thu 04-Mar-21 10:42:22
