Do you have tea?

Supper?

What time do you eat whatever meal is your last meal?

I start cooking, depending on what it is, between 5.30 and 6pm
and eat between 6 and 6.30 ish. It's my main meal of the day, I have very little lunch.

BigBertha1 Tue 02-Mar-21 10:03:52

About 6pm. Too tired after this to do the clearing up!

WishIwasyounger Tue 02-Mar-21 09:49:09

I have lunch around 1, and tea sometimes between 5 and 6, but sometimes between 6.30 and 7.
When I was married and we would have people round for a meal (remember those days?) we would just call it an evening meal, and have it around 7.30/8.00
When I was growing up, dinner was always mid-day, and the evening meal was tea.

We have a very late breakfast 10 /30, so don’t want/need lunch. Cake and a cuppa around 3, so dinner is usually 5.30. - 6. Usually have a small cereal before bed.

When the children were growing up, it was tea at 6pm for everyone. It was a hot meal, not snacks
After they left home, we ate about 8.
In the past couple of years, I want to eat earlier so between 6.30 and 7. I’m a northerner, so it’s Called tea. It’s always a cooked meal, although pre-Covid, if we’d had a decent cooked meal in a pub/restaurant/cafe we probably had salad, cheese, humours, olives etc and some nice bread. Or home made soup.
Lunch and tea. Except on Sunday when we have dinner, either about 3 or early evrning

Whenever I'm hungy.

Between 6 nd 6.30 and we call it tea but my DD who lives with us gives the children their dinner around the same time. I am sort of bilingual.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 02-Mar-21 08:22:27

Dinner between 7.30-8pm, except Sunday when it’s usually 5.30-6ish!

LadyGracie Tue 02-Mar-21 08:19:16

Dinner between 5.30 & 6,30, breakfast at 9, so a long fast overnight to aid the diet.

It depends how hard the Times crossword is!!

During lockdown we usually sit down to do the crossword atc4 ish with a cup of tea. We eat earlier if it's easier!! Probably 7pm on average.

6pm usually and supper around 10 pm which is very small. We don’t go to bed until 11.30-12 midnight.

Teacheranne Mon 01-Mar-21 23:46:55

Whenever I want it! No fixed pattern

Mollygo Mon 01-Mar-21 23:43:48

Dinner around 6.00- 6.30. Eating out may be later, but I can’t sleep after a big meal.

lilypollen Mon 01-Mar-21 23:35:01

Dinner used to be 8pm, dates back to when DH was working. Since lockdown DH wants to eat earlier, no longer wants a starter. As I enjoy planning menus this has dented my enthusiasm for cooking. Have to say it's his loss.

Witzend Mon 01-Mar-21 22:44:28

Dinner, around 7.30.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 01-Mar-21 22:39:30

Dinner is generally at 7 pm. If we are eating out the table is booked for 7.30 pm. I have breakfast by 8.30 am. Lunch is anything between 1-2 pm. Cup of tea and a biscuit at 4 pm.

Aveline Mon 01-Mar-21 22:25:20

Dinner is at 7.30.

Urmstongran Mon 01-Mar-21 22:22:39

Usually around 7pm. But I’m calorie counting within an 8 hour eating window to see if I can lose weight, so it was before 6pm tonight. I’ve just had a cuppa and the splash of milk in it probably means I’ve failed? Oh heck. This dieting mullarkey isn’t easy ...
?
I can’t see me sticking to this intermittent fasting (the so called 16:8) once lockdown is over. How would anyone get to eat out in an evening - only by missing breakfast and lunch & id probably feel faint.

Sorry Gaga went a bit off tangent there.

Dinner around 6pm, my digestion hates a big late meal. I usually have a little cereal before bed, it helps me sleep through otherwise there’s a risk of cupboard raiding in the small hours!

Calendargirl Mon 01-Mar-21 22:05:47

4.30. Tea, our main meal of the day.

Like to get it eaten, cleared away, washed up, ASAP.

muse Mon 01-Mar-21 22:03:18

Winter time - Dinner anywhere between 8:00 and 10:00 pm. Depend on MrM's work. We go to bed around midnight - 1:00am. We're late risers.

Summer - dinner much earlier because we get up early and also MrM continues work outside after dinner whist it's light.

Nanagem Mon 01-Mar-21 21:55:03

We it at 7, we’ve just never changed from when we worked, old habits I suppose

ginny Mon 01-Mar-21 21:50:19

Not set in stone but dinner around 6.30 - 7.00 pm

Scribbles Mon 01-Mar-21 21:46:37

Dinner, generally around 8pm
