Ps I know it's not healthy but I had yogurt and fruit for breakfast and missed lunch.

Cod, chips and mushy peas from the local chip shop after an unexpectedly busy and stressful day.

It was lovely, washed down with Sauvignon Blanc.

Ullabirgitta, that sounds wonderful! I am a fan of seafood.
My dinner tonight was king prawn pasta with green salad and mayonnaise dressing. Dessert, pomegranate seeds stirred through natural yoghurt, accompanied by a lovely Wolf Blass chardonnay semillon.
Greyduster, like you, I made a big pot of lentil and vegetable soup with ham ribs today, family coming for soup and sandwiches lunch tomorrow, looking forward to it.
Have a lovely weekend everyone ?

Raie au beurre - Skate wing with fennel butter and lemon slices baked in a bag in the oven, new potatoes and home grown beans.
An absolute treat, drinking espresso martini as I write.

I am making a stir fry with duck and noodles and Greek yoghurt with blackberries from the garden.

Mr M says Lamb, green beans and baby potatoes will be ready when I get home from work. It’s a grey day, so I’m looking forward to that.

Greyduster Wed 01-Sept-21 20:02:32

Home made ham, vegetable and lentil soup. Hearty, tasty and a taste of my childhood.

Blossoming Wed 01-Sept-21 19:20:23

Mr. B has made a delicious lasagne.

Nannylovesshopping Wed 01-Sept-21 19:14:44

Leftovers from yesterday’s roast chicken, which I shall shred and fry with onions, tomatos, green and red pepper, served with plain boiled rice, and salsa .

dragonfly46 Thu 26-Aug-21 13:18:00

Steak pie, jacket potatoes and tons of veg!

Mollygo Thu 26-Aug-21 13:16:45

Roasted vegetable and pesto pizza, with added Bresaola and extra cherry tomatoes.
Dessert, since it’s hot, is going to be icecream. Now I’ve found somewhere that does boxes of 6 mini-magnums at 2 for £4
It’s an inexpensive but welcome dessert as we often don’t want much.

Blossoming Wed 25-Aug-21 18:10:55

Piri piri chicken with rice and peppers.

3dognight Sun 22-Aug-21 17:40:18

Spicy tortilla wraps (all in a box from Aldi) just a chicken onion and two peppers. Everything chopped and prepared for when DH gets in.

This will be followed by two chocolate digestives.

We had carvery today. Tables well spaced indoors and we could have eaten outdoors. Numbers at carvery counter regulated and veggies and extras like apple sauce and gravy served behind the counter.
We’ve eaten out a lot more recently. Some places use alternate tables, some have screens between tables. All wait staff are still wearing masks.

We had Paella courtesy of the M&S dine in menu. Citron tart after but I did exert myself by adding some home cooked and picked blackberries ?

Whatever roast our local pub has, as this lady is on strike!!

Good for you! I'm dying for a carvery but won't go maskless to eat indoors.
