I found salmon kebabs on sale for 50p in the supermarket so had them. They were so delicious, I may well buy them at full price!!

Every now and then I eat out of the freezer so as to use up old things. Yesterday I had two ancient fish-cakes and two equally old hash-browns. Today is a surprise as I haven't looked yet.

Something very light!!

Did a 5 course Italian for the family yesterday, so still feeling stuffed and jaded.

Might just be a poached egg on toast.

Tizliz the airfryer is your friend when cooking pork chops. Mine are always lovely and moist when I do them in there.

Roast chicken for us too today, with runner beans from the garden now it has stopped pouring with rain.
It'll keep us going for the next couple of days too as they are busy ones.

BBQ here, chicken skewers, sausages, burgers, salads, new potatoes with veggie burgers and sausages for our granddaughter. Hers will be cooked first, last will be peppers and aubergine, followed by Tesco pseudo cornettos, salted caramel flavour. All nice and easy for me today, toms and aubergines home grown.

A rare in this house, not-chicken roast. A half leg of lamb with roast potatoes, fresh runner beans and probably peas and carrots. Plenty of proper gravy and good old mint sauce.
No pud, on account of a ? number of roast potatoes.

I was going to do roast beef but we are now down to two for supper so I've put it in the freezer for next weekend when my younger daughter is coming. So tonight we are having pork medallions in a blue cheese sauce with potatoes, french beans and courgettes from the garden. No pud apart from fresh fruit.

How do you cook your pork so it is properly cooked but not tough?

We have an 8 year old grandson staying with us (had his 11 year old brother last week) and I like to cook things that they don’t usually have at home as they’re not very adventurous eaters. They like to please me so they’ll at least try what I offer and tonight I made potato wedges (skin on), courgette, very finely sliced fried onion and venison in a cream sauce. It was a great hit all round and grandson ate every bit and gave the meal a score of ‘infinity’.

We had a lemony garlicky chicken dish - I was sent the recipe by Ocado in an email although I've never ordered anything from Ocado.

It was very good, with runner beans and courgettes from the garden.
