Anyone know how to get them really soft in the middle and crisp on the outside?

B9exchange So would I, but using an Air Fryer, please!
I'm now a subscriber to that BBC website; thanks Blossoming from a future King of the Chips! grin

I gave my AirFryer to my DGS for his flat after I just couldn't get on with it,it took far to long for food to cook properly.

B9 for lovely soft & crispy chips I parboil potato's after cutting to size until just soft kitchen towel dry and place on sheet in the oven sprayed with frylite they always turn out well.

B9exchage I find King Edward potatoes to be the best chipper. Blanching them beforehand helps.

GN encouraged me to buy a Ninja Foodi, which does everything an oven and hob does, with pressure cooker too. But I would love to know the best recipe for chips for the rare occasions I do them for the GC. Anyone know how to get them really soft in the middle and crisp on the outside?

I've just bought an air fryer and am starting to try out a few recipe ideas. From what I can see of air fryer cookbooks they seem to be written for the US market.

Does anyone have any useful recipe suggestions?
