Here is one many will know for lemonade scones
I cup lemonade
1 cup cream
3 cups sr flour.
Mix up and don’t maul too much. Use extra four on hands and rolling pin. Roll out to at least half inch thickness and cut into scones using a tumbler. Can wipe tops with cream remnants. Cook quite hot for 15 mins 200 C
Another one for pizza bases.
1 cup Greek yoghurt
1 cup SR flour. That’s it! Cook hot like scones after you have loaded it up with tomato purée, cheese and whatever you want.

Lucca, what a funny reply. It really made me laugh - and nobody got the joke. (It doesn't matter what cup you use.)

I've just discovered onions baked in their skins - so easy. Just trim the tops and bottoms, drizzle with oil, add herbs and seasoning, then cover and put in the oven (200 degrees) for an hour or so.

We’ve just had this, it can be used with any left over poultry and I sometimes use tuna.
Left over chicken.
Fry onion, garlic granules, risotto rice, mushrooms.
Add any veg. I’ve used peas and courgettes today.
One chicken oxo cube.
Water.
Boil, simmer until liquid gone, eat with grated cheddar on if liked. Yummy!

Very Easy Apple Dessert

Layer ginger nut biscuits with stewed apple in a glass. Leave in the fridge for biscuits to absorb moisture from the apple. Serve with whipped cream on the top and pieces of chopped preserved ginger or chocolate curls.

The cheese sauce definitely works - I use it often. Really tasty!

Fry one of those little boxes of smoked lardons.
Add a sliced onion (and often finely chopped celery) and chopped garlic.
Add chopped chicken thighs. Cook for 5-10 mins.
Add Campbell's condensed mushroom soup (or works well with Campbell's condensed tomato soup).
If needed add a little milk.
Simmer until chicken cooked through (about 20 mins)
Serve with either rice or jacket potato.

Lucca

Really ? Might try the pizza one ….what is a cup measure?

A standard cup measure is 250ml, but the whole point is that you can use whatever cup - or mug - you like. If it’s 1 cup of this, and half a cup of that, the proportions remain the same

Reading these, I might even be tempted to relieve OH from doing all the cooking.

Choccie Droppies: A family recipe. Firstly weigh out a quantity of biscuits (stale ones are great) reduce to crumbs. You'll need syrup, cocoa powder (or if you've a sweet tooth, chocolate powder) and marge, all at half the weight of the biscuit crumbs.

Melt syrup in saucepan, stir in marge, add cocoa (choc) powder and finally stir in biscuit crumbs. Leave to cool. When cooled, pour into shallow lightly greased container and put in fridge until hardened.

Curlywhirly

Very easy starter - cut a cross in a fig, stuff the openings with a couple of nubs of goats cheese then wrap the fig in a slice of parma ham; put in oven for 5 mins (or until parma ham has crisped up). Serve on a bed of rocket and drizzle with balsamic glaze.

I've done this one Curly whirly it works on a bar b que as well.
scrumptious.Works with pancetta as well.
Easy pastry, plain flour half fat to flour. Fat can be half lard /butter or all butter pinch of salt. Works with any weight of flour very cold water added in drops.
Easy white sauce, 600 mil full fat milk, 60gms butter and 60gms plain flour, salt and pepper. Works with any amount of milk,800 to 80 .80. etc. If only have skimmed milk I use a good dollop of double stream or creme fraiche then make up with the semi skimmed milk. I use a big jug and micro wave for two minutes give a good whisk keep giving it 2/3 mins until you get consistency you want. Can be changed to a cheese sauce by adding grated cheese to your liking.
Some really good recipes on here I like the sound of the tuna one. We're having tuna crisp to night ,one measure about 600 ml of cheese sauce one tin tuna and a packet of potatoes crisps scattered on the top. Or add peas or sweet corn.

Peel two medium sized potatoes for each person who will be eating this dish.

Slice the potatoes very thinly.

Grate as much cheese as you feel with cover the sliced potatoes. You can use whichever cheese you like.

Grease an oven proof dish very thoroughly.

Lay the potatoes in the dish in one, or at most, two layers.

Sprinkle the grated cheese over the potatoes and add chopped chives and/ or finely chopped garlic if liked.

Beat up an egg (two if the portion is for more than two people) with salt and pepper to taste, and approximately 2 dl cream.

Bake in the oven, at 200 degrees centigrade for about 45 minutes.

Let the finished dish cool for five minutes before serving as otherwise you risk burning yourself on the cheese.

We eat this dish on its own as an alternative to macoroni and cheese, but you can serve it as a side dish if preferred.

Smoked salmon pate: Into the food processor put one packet of smoked salmon trimmings (Sainsbury's £1.99) and one small tub of full fat cream cheese, a squeeze of lemon juice and a large pinch of black pepper. Process for a short time - some texture is good. Delicious on toast and keeps in the fridge for a few days - if you let it! smile
