Hi.

If you are at all concerned about the salt in kids snacks, I would ask you to comment on the potato snacks from ALDI called"Teddy Faces".

We bought some on Saturday 16th October and the amount of salt is beyond belief. Even I cannot tolerate more than half a packet, and I love the brand Bear Faces.

I have contacted them, and they are going to take it up with their supplier.

They are not something I would buy. I always check salt/sodium content of packaged foods as I have to follow a low sodium diet.

Good for you pointing that out KP original Pom bears have 0.18g of salt compared to Snackrite Teddy Faces. 0.38g. I am going to compare all of the crisps now.

I’m a bit of a Pom Bears fan myself but of course I only buy them for the grandchildren gringrin
Somehow they seem to go the same way as the Haribos I buy every year for little Trick or Treaters ???

Teddy faces are a bit higher in salt at 0.33g (2g spread over 6 packs) but that is for a pack 50% bigger than Pom Bears, so should be compared to 0.27g. 0.06g really isn't that much. That aside I prefer Teddy faces and not just because I'm greedy smile

Pom bears taste like Nibbets(Niblets?) which were my favourite treat when mum and dad took me to the pub with them.

Nibbits! I’d completely forgotten about them, but yes, Pom Bears taste just the same! Thank you, MayBee70, that probably explains why I like them so much. smile

Yes. It was a real blast from the past when I tasted my first Pom Bear!
