Whoops just seen two other coffee posts which weren’t there when I posted Sorry ladies

Coffee I love the smell of coffee but although I drink it every day I don’t really like it
Why do I drink it then? I hear you say because I like a hot drink and like tea even less not keen on fruit teas they smell so much better than they taste I drink green tea but can’t say I like it but I do like a hot drink especially in the morning

I agree about coffee - it smells fabulous but makes me shudder.

I'm glad it's not just me! The smell of bacon frying is wonderful but I'm not keen either BigBertha!

Coffe. The smell is so enticing, the flavour always disappoints.

Chips. I smell them, crave them and am always disappointed.

I pretend to like curry. But I don't. I pretend to because I have a gorgeous daughter in law who has been making curry since she was a tot.

I have managed to tell her to go easy on the spicy hot stuff, (I'm the blandest eater) but I always tell her I love it. Whilst wolfing down a pint of water.

Everyone raves about it and I really feel I should like it but I just don't.

Kate1949 Tomatoes taste wonderful as long as they have never been refrigerated.

Soupy Mon 02-May-22 22:39:27

Chocolate cake. I often find it dry, tasteless and underwhelming.

Kate1949 Mon 02-May-22 22:34:20

Tomatoes. I eat a lot because I am told they are good for me. They taste of nothing, apart from the lovely ones abroad.

Butcher’s faggots. I fancy them,
then when I see the fat that comes out of them I know I will spend all night with indigestion. It has happened before.

I love smell of bacon cooking but when I eat it I don't really like it as I don't like salty things.

I have *never had raw sweetcorn Hellogirl. It could be my next craving ?

Hellogirl1 Mon 02-May-22 18:56:01

I hate sweetcorn when cooked as a vegetable, but love it raw on a salad. I was tempted to try a whole one roasted from a street stand in Turkey, they seemed popular, but didn`t in case I didn`t like it. Wish I had now.
When I was a child I used to beg for one of those crispy meringues with cream in the middle, knowing that I`d tried them before and not really liked them, but still I`d pester for one. Never see them now.

Totally agree Kittylester. I have never yet been let down by wine. I keep trying though ?

kittylester Mon 02-May-22 18:50:52

Wine never let's me down either,*gb*.

Every so often, I get a craving for hotdogs with fried onions and mustard. When I eat them I'm always disappointed. The sausage is never as nice as I expected. Does anyone else have a food that lets them down? Needless to say, this is a bit lighthearted. Chocolate rarely lets me down. ?
