What’s for tea?

Egg salad sandwiches and fruit juice. We took GC out for lunch and I don’t like two big meals in a day.

Minced beef cooked with carrots, onions, butter beans (defrosted). Mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes mixed together. Broccoli and cauliflower.

Salmon with sugar snaps and corn on the cob.

Jacket potato with cheesy beans along with a green salad (DH is out so it’s an easy quick meal for one)

Another one here with cottage pie previously made and frozen, with peas and onion gravy. No dessert during the week except one square of chocolate.

Stood at the cooker all day

Ohhhh my giddy aunts... a lot of these sound devine.... mmmmm

If I said tea tonight is...... microwave meal for Mr S and cheese salad for me will everyone think SHAME ON YOU! eeeeeeek hahaha.

I could lie and say I have been stood at the oven allllllll day, but truth of the matter is I haven't.

Grilled salmon with creme fraiche basil pesto, baby potato salad, tomatoes caprese, croissants. Summer pud for afters.

We had friends round for lunch yesterday and as usual I did far too much food so we're still ploughing through leftovers. So tonight it will be bits n bobs - quiche, sausage rolls, crusty bread etc.

Fish and chips from the chippy, mushy peas for me, I too will have a couple of tomatoes, it’s a good season for them.

Witzend The tortellini in sauce combo is one of my favourite meals when I'm in a hurry.

Prawns in pasta with courgettes, tomatoes and lemon tonight. Everything has to have tomatoes at the moment! Must get around to making some passata.

Ready made tortellini with spinach and ricotta, and ready made tomato/basil sauce. Salad if I can be bothered to make any. Dh away tonight, so it’s just me.

I did just about cook last night - at least I boiled some mini new potatoes for potato salad, to have with cold ham and salad, which I did bother to make.

Pork chops with blue cheese sauce. Runner beans from the garden and broccoli. We don’t eat potatoes very often .

Pork and chickpea curry this evening and there will probably be enough leftover to shove in a pitta bread for lunch tomorrow.

Got stuck in the garage today waiting for a recall check. Starving when I left so popped into local M&S and picked up a ready meal which I’ve just eaten/hoovered up. Cod mornay with peas’n mash reduced to £1.37. Not my usual style. It would have been ratatouille tonight but I’ve killed 2 birds with one stone ?

Lamb chops with a tian of aubergine, courgette and bell peppers.

Roast pork cooked with Asian spices served with vegetable stir fry and of course the crackling.
Pork and apricot tagine with the leftover tomorrow.

Scampi, chips, peas and sweetcorn, cucumber, beetroot.
