We had eggs baked in avocados on a base of beluga lentils and leeks

Seven bean chili, bread, salad, fruit. Unless others invite themselves over - then whatever protein they bring along with.

A stir fry with assorted veg, half a pack of very small prawns, a sachet of stir fry sauce plus plenty of chilli, ginger and garlic. With egg noodles.

Fish and chips from the shop in the next village where everything is gluten free -including black pudding.

Probably my signature ‘dustbin’ soup - nothing else unless I go shopping, which I won’t, since will be cooking for a family gathering tomorrow.

It's been chilly and overcast. I'm favouring potato broccoli soup, bread, salad, applesauce.

Rhubarb and yoghurt sounds delicious.

Mapleleaf Tue 04-Oct-22 17:56:46

Salmon, new potatoes and broccoli tonight.

LadyGracie Tue 04-Oct-22 16:38:28

Mackerel and roasted vegetables, followed by rhubarb with greek yoghurt.

HowVeryDareYou Tue 04-Oct-22 16:25:56

Just some toast, later. Had a pub lunch of quiche, salad and potatoes.

Home made chicken curry. Ages since I made it so hope I can remember how to do it! confused

nadateturbe Tue 04-Oct-22 14:43:57

Salmon asparagus and pasta with pesto. We have this at least twice a week, but different veg. We're so boring.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Oct-22 14:37:07

GS (7) is sleeping over he has requested pulled pork, with potato wedges, cucumber and coleslaw so that’s what he will be having. (I know I am a total pushover as a Granny, I think it’s my guilt at being a working Mum when our brood were growing up)

Whilst main oven is on I shall make chicken kyivs and jacket potatoes with veggies for us.

Homemade steak and sausage pie with mash, courtesy of my lovely daughter.

MrsKen33 Tue 04-Oct-22 14:26:32

Don’t know yet. We are in an hotel.

Norah Tue 04-Oct-22 14:15:22

Mushroom aubergine curry, salad, naan, fruit.

Blossoming Tue 04-Oct-22 13:57:43

A hearty stew. It’s a raw blustery day here and I’ve been inspired by another thread to go for a lovely mix of chicken and veg.

Jaxjacky Tue 04-Oct-22 10:54:01

Chicken curry (remnants of Sundays roast) with mushrooms and cauliflower added.

Witzend Tue 04-Oct-22 10:28:09

Lamb stew, made from the remains of a half leg roast that’s been in the freezer! Bit of a faff, since needs prepping the day before (simmering with onions and left to cool overnight to get all the fat off) then picking off all the lean. Will add pearl barley, potatoes, carrots, turnip and lamb stock cube(s) to the mix, peas for the last couple of mins.
Might not sound very tasty but it is!
Not very economical fuel-wise, though.

HowVeryDareYou Mon 03-Oct-22 18:28:29

Firecracker chicken ( a spicy dish with chillies), vegetable rice, side salad

Norah Mon 03-Oct-22 15:10:20

Tomato soup, bread, salad, and choice of leftover dessert.

lixy Mon 03-Oct-22 13:42:55

Goodness knows - yesterday's chicken was supposed to 'do' tonight's stir fry too, but Gchn turned up and there's not much left! Beans on toast I guess.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Oct-22 13:38:45

Thai stir fry with marinated haddock.

MrsKen33 Mon 03-Oct-22 13:34:18

Spelt pasta with Ham and mushrooms in a cheese sauce. We are away tomorrow so using up stuff which will spoil.

Redhead56 Mon 03-Oct-22 13:27:50

I roasted a gammon joint yesterday such good value. I made a big pie and soup with the leftovers.
