Gluten free self raising flour

When using gluten free flour to make a cake, do I use the same quantities as with non gluten free?

Yes but depending on the type of cake I often add an extra teaspoon of baking powder and half a teaspoon of xantham gum.

You may need some extra fluid eg a tbsp. of milk
