Dh is away and I just couldn’t be bothered to rummage through fridge and freezer to see what I could cook. Had to nip to the corner shop anyway so picked up two packs of SuperNoodles and had both of them.
And a crumpet.
And a Mars Bar.
Enjoyed it! 🙂

Well I have never had a pot noodle, plenty of noodles in soup and various dishes while in SE Asia. But not a pot noodle.

Why is toast and marmalade considered ok for breakfast?
But a jam sandwich with crusty bread wrong for dinner?

I’m surprised that I’m the first to mention grated cheese on supa noodles 😋

Another CBA-to-cook favourite of mine is pasta cooked in chicken stock, and served sort of soup-wise in a bowl - with loads of grated cheese. 😋

Pot noodles not a good choice for pregnancy nausea! grin

Kim19 Sat 19-Nov-22 10:14:03

Aha, B..... always have my stash ready and waiting in the fridge. When I get down to one I do the needful next 9 (all my pan will hold) and the cooker bleeper informs me when I should return to the kitchen! It's a fine art acquired with ease!!

Last time I tried a pot noodle was 45 years ago I was was suffering with all day nausea in early pregnancy, the aftermath was not pretty, never touched one since.
Family size Salt and vinegar crisps and I am happy and a glass of wine

It’s good to know I’m not the only cheapskate bargain hunter on here, BlueBelle. smile I’ve tried our local B & M but their cheap noodles box is always empty - they must be good!

BlueBelle Sat 19-Nov-22 08:58:48

Maggiemaybe I use B &M or any other cheap store 🤣I just use ‘super noodles’ as a generic term not as a brand name I can’t speak for others

Supernoodles? Are you folks made of money?

Try Ko-Lee (sp?) or the supermarkets’ own. Less than half the price and some of them even better (I know, I know, you’re all doubting now that anything could be tastier than a Supernoodle, but trust me on this).

I sometimes stir cheese into mine, FannyC. Or pesto from a jar. Because I’m very posh. grin

It's.... eh...... blimey..... indescribable! My go to is a hard boiled egg and tomato filled brioche. Made in two minutes and consumed just as quickly. Delicious. No time wasting in kitchen!

How can you hard boil an egg in two minutes?

BigBertha1 Sat 19-Nov-22 07:22:14

If I didn't have to cook a proper dinner in the evenings I would have toast and peanut butter followed by a banana and some chocolate every night. Bliss!

BlueBelle Sat 19-Nov-22 06:57:27

I LOVE super noodles
I don’t…. but I could live on them and they are always my go to for a tasty snack
(Bombay Bad Boy yummm yummm yummm I sometimes take one to work for a lunch time snack and my boss always has to pop out and buy one when he smells mine )

Well, noodly is a hard thing to define, I think.

More like proper noodles, I suppose.

More bland tasting, so you can flavour them yourself if you want to.
Pot noodles are a bit strong tasting for me.

I used to like a crispy pancake sandwich.

The cheese ones.

Witzend Fri 18-Nov-22 23:20:02

Occasionally when I get a yen for SuperNoodles but can’t be bothered to nip to the shop, I simmer some Sharwood’s Medium egg noodles in a little chicken stock, with a little curry powder added. Almost as good as the Proper Article!

Catterygirl Fri 18-Nov-22 22:53:01

Just tried my very first one. Nothing like pot noodles. Ate about 8 spoons. Terrible. They taste like flour or pastry. No spice. In the bin it’s going.

CraftyGranny Fri 18-Nov-22 22:43:33

I like a mug shot noodles now and then, Very low on Syns if you follow the Slimming World plan. But not the cheesy ones!

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 22:29:38

I think they're more noodly than pot noodles.

They're softer, and just slither down.

Very satisfying.
