Hmm, just five? Well, the top five anyway...

coffee and walnut cake - a proper one, no synthetic butter cream
figs
blackberry and apple crumble
marmalade on toast
cheese, apple and marmite sandwich

I'll be back for another go later!!

Sourdough toast and peanut butter. Can I say it would have to be Mani Life pb?
Baked beans
Chocolate
Bacon sarnie with Branson Pickle ( and I’m a vegetarian 🤭)
Chocolate covered ginger biscuits

Of course all of it would have to be ‘good’ or there’d be no point in eating it😏….

I could add many of the choices other posters have chosen too, but then I’d be well over a choice of 5! I’m not so good at this, really 😂😂

Ziplok Sat 19-Nov-22 21:28:47

Ooh, urmston, I’d forgotten about Thornton’s chocolate gingers 😂( though I suppose they’d fall into my chocolate category...)

Ziplok Sat 19-Nov-22 21:26:47

Imagine if all the above were considered to be healthy food choices these days!! 😂😂

Ziplok Sat 19-Nov-22 21:25:21

Well, health issues aside therefore imagining I don’t have to worry about bad cholesterol levels, my 5 foods (and it’s hard sticking to just 5 😂) would be:
Christmas pudding
Baked cheesecake
Any duck dish
Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and all the extras
A cheese platter with cheese biscuits
Chocolate (but that’s running into 6 choices, and I could go on..🤣🤣).

Urmstongran Sat 19-Nov-22 21:15:44

Dippy double eggs with chips.
That’s my tray of food on Death Row sorted.

My next 4 are:

Champagne

My last meal on Earth (fingers crossed) would be lobster, followed by a shallow crème brûlée.
Scallops, smoked haddock with a poached egg and a Betty’s Medici (now discontinued) would go down well - with a glass of champagne.

Mouth watering, especially as I’ve just had a boring slice of toast!

Cabbie21 Sat 19-Nov-22 19:18:38

Roast meat with all the usual side dishes.
Rich chocolate cake.
Pavlova, with raspberries
Cheese board, to include strong Cheddar, red Leicester and Brie.
Thick slice of proper fresh bread with loads of butter and either apricot or raspberry jam.

Blondiescot Sat 19-Nov-22 18:29:06

Turkish sour cherry cheesecake

Main, chicken tikka massage with rice
Side, chicken chow main
Snack, poppadoms with mango chutney
Pudding, a caramel custard donut

Cheese (any sort)

Good Greek yoghurt with a drizzle of honey
Thick toast with butter and marmite
Poached eggs

CanadianGran Sat 19-Nov-22 17:24:04

Ooh, my mouth is watering with all the lovely choices!

A roast chicken with little new potatoes (lots of butter and fresh parsley) and green beans (more butter!) I come from Jersey farming genes, so appreciate a good new potato.

Apple pie
Nice dark chocolate with a touch of sea salt
Grill cheese sandwich, crispy and runny.
Summer fruit - cherries and raspberries

What a nice thread this is.
