I bought the above from Lidl. It has a long shelf life, but I’m thinking of making a Christmas pudding or cake with it and storing it until the end of this year (maybe). Before I Google, I wondered if you have any recommendations regarding recipes. Thank you. 😊

Patsy70 I was thinking of doing the same - being as I missed out a proper this last Christmas.
I presume it would have to be firmly wrapped and stored in a good airtight container, but I am determined to have my cake and eat it 😋

I meant to write “a proper cake”

We love Affogato.

I make with summer pudding fruit and juices (not espresso), when I have a quantity. I might attempt same with brandy soaked fruit flambéd (more brandy).

I put mine in porridge with a spoonful of coco, absolutely delicious. I’ll make my way through the three bags in the store cupboard no bother.

DH made James Martin’s Christmas cake two years running and it was the best we’d ever had. A very easy recipe. That was made with brandy infused mixed fruit from Aldi.

Sounds good greyduster.

I do add fruit and yogurt to my granola for breakfast, but infused with brandy might be too early in the day! 😂 James Martin’s recipe sounds good. Thank you for your suggestions.

Greyduster
James Martin does make an extremely good Christmas cake I myself have made one a number of times. But if you wanted to store it a Christmas pudding would be better.

If you feed it with as much alcohol as my DH used to do, you might just get it to the finish line, sweetcakes!!😁

I use it to add to porridge. It sweetens it so no need for any sugar. Also, chop up a red apple and add it with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Gorgeous
