What is it in these biscuits and the spread that makes them so hard to resist?
Yes they are sweet (probably too sweet) and taste sort of toasted and caramel, but so are other products.
However, Biscoff seems to me like the baked goods equivalent of crack cocaine.
Get thee behind me!

I had a slice of Biscoff cheesecake in a restaurant. To say it was sweet would be an understatement and it almost put me off Biscoff altogether - until I found my DiL's stache of the little biscuits.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn’t like them? They taste burnt to me.

I don't not like them, but I can take them or leave them. I once bought a jar of Biscoff spread by mistake, thinking it was peanut butter (which was right next to it). I haven't used it, but DS2 pounced on it! Must use it in a recipe - cupcakes or cheesecake - but we don't eat much cake. Will have to wait for visitors or a birthday.

It's lovely, but very rich. I didn't bother with additional cream on top of mine - just drizzled some Biscoff over it and added some biscuit crumbs. It didn't look as fancy as the one in the recipe, but it tasted good!

Excellent, thank you!

I'd rather use a recommended tried and tested recipe if I can, so will follow yours. It looks delicious.

Hi Doodledog, this is the recipe I used, but if you google Biscoff cheesecake, there are many variations:

SpringyChicken, I do like them, but I sympathise.
I dislike so many biscuits - custard creams, bourbons etc that I’m relieved I don’t have to buy them. At least if you’ve tasted them and found you don’t like them, you won’t feel the need to buy any of the Biscoff flavoured things mentioned on here.

I don't suppose you have the recipe, Blondiescot? I bought a jar of spread as FB kept sending me videos of cheesecakes, but of course they haven't sent any since I got it.

I made Biscoff cheesecake at xmas and it was delicious (even if I do say so myself!) My GS loves the little biscuits - he calls them tea biscuits (I've no idea why). The ice cream and lollies are lovely too - I've sampled them, solely in the interests of research, you understand?

Thank goodness this is one treat I don’t like. It ranks along with Nutella and Cadbury Crème eggs - just as well really, or they’d be in my basket every week!

I have used them to make the base of a cheesecake my DD and I are addicted to them.

There's a café down our way that sells Biscoff flapjacks.

Callistemon21 Sat 04-Mar-23 23:04:14

Ooh, Biscoff Easter egg!

Callistemon21 Sat 04-Mar-23 23:02:42

What am I missing?
Are these the biscuits you sometimes get in twos with a tea or coffee?
I've never seen a whole packet! I rarely buy biscuits because I'd eat them.

Doughnuts? Spread? Where?

Got one in my handbag. I’d never heard of the spread till now. Something to try!

I'd eat Biscoff spread right off a spoon. Love it, but not during Lent. sad

Doodledog Sat 04-Mar-23 17:54:24

Ooh. It's on offer at Sainsbury's. You lot are a terrible influence grin. I've added a tub to my next delivery order.

Doodledog Sat 04-Mar-23 17:51:14

There are often recipes on FB using Biscoff spread - cheesecakes and the like. I've never tried it, but maybe I will now.

Yammy Sat 04-Mar-23 16:54:35

I keep individually wrapped ones in my's handbag for the GC my mum always did for my DD along with the little packets of sugar. Just one and a cappuccino and you've had a big treat.

Sorry you had a rubbish birthday VioletSky. sad Hope things improve soon.

Apparently, the ice cream and lollies are the best. I can't eat them as they contain gluten.
