Hi Azalea ,
That's a lot of hard work .
I've prepared food for Hindu , Muslim and Jewish guests before and it's not easy as you must respect their dietary requirements .
And BBQs take a lot of preparation :
Remember to soak your BBQ skewers.
I slightly oil mine .
If you remove the excess water from tofu then after frying to harden them - you can put them on skewers .
They need a tangy sauce to compliment their rather bland taste .
I'd mix sweet chilli sauce with soya sauce.
Tomatoes fall off skewers - use them as dipping sauce .
Paneer is delicious but can break up easily . It needs to be pressed to remove excess water .
Halloumi would be easier to cook .
Look on the Quorn website - you can BBQ their products .
You could parboil some new potatoes and finish them on the BBQ .
Or
serve baked potatoes as a side .
I fill mine with mushrooms and vegan cheese .
Chicken bbqs well , but it should be from a halal butcher - satay is delicious .
Marinade the cubes in lime juice and make an easy satay sauce from commercial peanut butter adding soy sauce and more lime to taste .
If serving mayonnaise - it should be Halal ie made with unfertilised eggs
This means breaking each egg separately to check for a blood spot and disguarding it .
You can serve some delicious flat breads .
I add chopped nuts to mine if I make it myself .
Do have a lovely party .
have you ever been mistaken for a race/ethnicity/ancestry that you are not?
You swap sleeping positions with your pet , where are you sleeping tonight?
What's going on , on the street outside your home right now?
