I've been blackberry picking and have plenty for jam making. I do like strawberry though. My blackberry jam lasts me through the winter.

Lush, can't beat strawberry jam, I added gin to my last lot along with some vanilla and really to it to new heights:-)

I think the brown vinegar helps with the set, as lemon juice does, though never tried it.

Just had strawberry jam on home made brown soda bread, first time experimenting with baking in new air fryer. Came out pretty well and slightly faster cooking time than the oven (and much less electricity used!)

We had it in Modena, (land of brown vinegar) loved it, now I add.

I add brown vinegar to strawberry jam, quite good. Berries are being delivered Friday, I believe, good as we need jam.

Warm clean jars in the oven before putting the jam in to avoid breakage.

I was given 6 lbs of strawberries on Friday so found the jam pan and jars, I had to boil it a lot to make it set but now have 11 jars of lovely Strawberry jam.
We do eat some, most will be given away to friends and relatives

Feeling very pleased as the jam I made yesterday has set perfectly. I made a small amount as only me here to eat it.....family doesn't really do jam...... 1lb strawberries from the garden and a pound of sugar plus lemon juice. Bring it to the boil and test a spoonful on a cold plate. When it gels pour into hot jars and seal with wax paper and lids. I am keeping In the fridge. Lovely on homemade scones. 😋
