Sounds dramatic but in 2017 although always tried to stay fit I had my yearly check up and was told by a stand in Dr (Army) in no uncertain terms I was overweight and my blood sugars and cholesterol were to high. He suggested a “Keto Lifestyle” I embraced it and my Cholestrol and blood sugars reversed. Going without Spuds, Rice, Pasta etc was tough but I found alternatives but Bread really struggled with that! I used to love a bacon sarnie. When I was put onto steroids the low carb thing worked for me but …….no bread!
I then found a recipe by an Australian Lady and tried it (in fact I am doing some now) the average carb value for a normal slice of bread is about 15 ish but this flour free bread is only 1-2 carbs per slice and for those of us who have indulged a bit over the festive period it’s just the job. Here is the link. See what you think.

The calories are about the same and some of the ingredients make it a little expensive but for me it’s worth it.
