Wandering through my local Coop yesterday I noticed a range of ready meals called Ruby's. Quite posh meals e.g. Boeuf Bourguignonne, so possibly similar to Cook. I checked out their website and at present the range is quite small, so if they are new hopefully it will increase. Just wondering if anyone has tried them and are they any good?

I thought this would be a thread about curries!😄

I thought it was about red gemstones

I also thought it was about Ruby Murrays but am happy if they provide a good boeuf bourginnone on days I’m too busy to cook. Or spell even.

I've just looked at their website and yes, a small range so far.

They are on the pricey side but difficult to compare to others as they don't give the weight of their portions. Cook works out quite expensive as their portion size is considerably less than the standard ready meal.

But, Cook are generally better than the standard ready meal.

Just done a bit of digging about this company. Their one portion meal weight is generally 300g which is three quarters of a standard ready meal - so works out very expensive.

Also, they are owned by Charlie Bigham, so more of the same under a different name.
