I buy the spice kits from Simply Cook and find them very good and very convenient. Most dishes are ready to eat in about half an hour, the instructions provided are clear and well written. You have to provide the main, fresh ingredients yourself, but all the spices are in the kit in small pots. Very easy, lots of variety and not expensive.

When we are working which isn’t often now we do Gousto, they are excellent.
Good quality, value and imaginative.

Tonight chicken and sweet potato curry
Tomorrow roast chicken, three veg and stuffing
Monday oven fish and chips, mushy peas
Wednesday frittata - courgettes, mushrooms, leftover chicken, potato and cheese
Thursday leftover chicken and vegetable pie with salad.
A rough menu plan, it often changes

Haven't tried any boxes but try roast veg with or without a cheese sauce. This gives you a good selection of vegetables. Depends on what you like of course but we can eat up to 8 different ones in that.
How about spare ribs marinaded in a sauce made to your own taste, then cooked in the oven and served with couscous or bulger wheat. A few veggies can be added to that. Both are fairly easy to cook and taste delicious.

Cooks ready meals are very good if you don’t fancy cooking. Otherwise a salad, macaroni cheese, prawn or chicken pasta, stir fry, egg and chips, smoked haddock with peas and mashed potatoes, fish pie, omelette, risotto, chicken snitzel, are all meals that dh and I regularly have. On a Sunday we have lamb steaks or chicken or duck breasts. Sometimes a whole roast chicken so we can have it afterwards cold with a salad, in risotto, pasta bake, curry or in a pie. I also make soup from the carcass.

Just OH and I at home too. We both like to cook and try and vary the dishes. We have lots of cook books but have also found inspiration from looking online. It depends on your tastes but here are some ideas:

Chicken breasts with mushrooms and leeks
Chicken breasts with chorizo
Chicken breasts wrapped in bacon or Parma ham
Fish with pesto
Fish with lardons
Fish with broccoli and red peppers
Veg dish with any veg you like such as courgettes, peppers, aubergine finished off with balsamic vinegar

Hope this helps and you get ideas from others here on GN.

For the two of us I don’t buy fancy boxes of anything.I do chicken casseroles and beef ones, carrots in the chicken one and mushrooms and carrots and onions in the beef ones.Very easy to make and cook.
Omelettes of every kind, chicken stirfry with noodles and rice.
Salads with chopped egg and mayo or cheese salad and new potatoes.
Any fish you like cooked in the pan quickly with cream, parsley and served with rice and mixed veg.
Tuna pasta bake.

My son moved into his own house a couple months ago, he likes to cook but finds shopping a chore and buys stuff he doesn't really need (chocolate etc). He buys the Hello Fresh boxes for 2, uses them weekdays. Eats one lot for his evening meal and either freezes or takes the second helping to work for his lunch. He has tried a couple others but says HF are his preference.
If he doesn't fancy many of the meals one week he usually finds some the following one.

Help please,

Just my OH & I at home. Son & his girlfriend recently moved out.

I’m finding it difficult to know what to cook for the 2 of us.
Bored of the same old things, Chilli, Bolognaise, Jacket Potatoes.

Also has anyone tried any of the meal delivery boxes eg. Gousto etc.

If so which did you prefer?
