Chilli with hard boiled eggs, anyone?

We were just told off by DD2 for not telling her that chilli topped with sliced hard boiled eggs was not a 'normal' pairing.

It has been normal in the Lester household for about 40 years after someone decided soured cream was not for them and we needed something else to cool the chilli down.

Apparently, someone at work asked what they were eating tonight and was incredulous to be told 'chilli and sliced hardboiled eggs'.

Does your family have strange food combinations?

My dad used to make curried hard boiled eggs with raisins - delicious.

I love hard boiled eggs which have the cooled yolks mixed with cream and dusted with chilli or mixed with curry powder or mixed with mayonnaise -easy to make and delicious to eat .
If you aren't serving them as canapés or hors d'oevre then they are nice on a bed of thinly sliced iceberg lettuce .
If you need something substantial then buttery baked potatoes are perfect with stuffed eggs .

I'd like to know how Fanny Cradock would stuff eggs !
I was thinking of her in my last post hence my cocktail and formal supper ideas !
