2 punnets of fresh blueberries, mixed with cornflour and sugar, crammed into a 20 cm dish. According to the recipe, pastry egg washed, with Demerara sugar on top. I forgot to add the 1 tbsp lemon juice but it tasted fine anyway.

That looks great. Blueberry crumble is good as well. I make a decent amount of crumble mix in the food processor and store it in a jam jar in the fridge. I always have frozen blueberries in the freezer. An ultra quick dessert with a bit of added sugar.
I used to love bilberry pie that my mum made. Quite a different taste to blueberries and much smaller berries. Used to come in jars from Poland. Haven’t seen any for years.
Pudding123 we had whinberry pie often when we were young. My gran’s house backed onto a mountain where lots of whinberry bushes grew. Nothing quite like it with Carnations milk. We had blueberry pie in America, superb
